Pricing
Here’s the price. Before I start.
Most tax offices won’t tell you what a return costs until it’s finished. I quote a flat fee after a ten-minute conversation, in writing, and it doesn’t move unless your situation does.
| Line | What it includes | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Base returns | ||
| Individual | Federal 1040, standard deduction, e-file, portal, copy of return | $300 |
| Real estate agent / self-employed | 1040 plus one Schedule C, 1099-NEC income, home office, vehicle | $550 |
| Business entity (1065 / 1120-S) | Assumes a reconciled trial balance. Includes K-1s issued to owners. | $1,100 |
| Add-ons | ||

| Other work | ||
| Prior-year return, per year | Quoted after we see the year. Starting point, not a ceiling. | from $375 |
| Amended return (1040-X) | Quoted after we see the year. Starting point, not a ceiling. | from $350 |
| Records requiring reconstruction | Quoted after we see the year. Starting point, not a ceiling. | from $175 |
| Bookkeeping cleanup | Quoted after we see the year. Starting point, not a ceiling. | from $450 |
| Monthly bookkeeping | Quoted after we see the year. Starting point, not a ceiling. | from $300/month |
These are starting points. Your quote is fixed in writing after a ten-minute conversation, and it doesn’t move unless your situation does.
You will never open an invoice you didn’t agree to. If the work turns out to be more complicated, you hear about it and approve a revised fee before I keep going. If that number doesn’t work, you owe nothing for the conversation.
